These terms are the rules for using the Gloucester Maths Academy website and parent portal. By using them or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

Gloucester Maths Academy provides private maths tuition. The parent portal is where you see your child's lessons and pay for them.

2. Your account

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
• Only give a child's details if you are their parent or guardian, or are allowed to act for them.
• Keep your password private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Lessons

• Your child's lesson day, time and level are agreed with the tutor.
• Every lesson is one hour, on the same day each week.
• The lessons shown in the portal are the record of what has been booked.
• If needed for safety or teaching reasons, we may change how a lesson is taught.

4. Paying for lessons

• Lessons are paid for by the month, in advance, by the 7th of that month.
• The amount appears in the portal from the 25th of the month before.
• Pay by bank transfer, then confirm it in the portal. What you tell us must be true.

Our Payment Policy sets out how the amount is worked out, holidays, extra lessons, starting partway through a month, and what happens if a payment can't be found.

5. Cancellations

• Once a month has been paid, its lessons can't be cancelled or refunded.
• If the tutor can't teach a lesson, it will be rescheduled.

6. Using the site fairly

Please don't:

• use the site for anything illegal, abusive or dishonest
• try to get into accounts or parts of the site you shouldn't, or try to disrupt it
• upload anything harmful, or give false information, including about payments.

7. Closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, to keep children or the site safe, or if the law requires it.

8. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we look after your information.

9. Our content

The content on this site belongs to Gloucester Maths Academy, or we have permission to use it. Please don't copy or republish it without our written permission, unless the law allows it.

10. Keeping the site running

We work to keep the site available and secure, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable, for example during maintenance or a problem with one of our providers.

11. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that couldn't be foreseen, or that was caused by things outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date.

13. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
