Last updated: 6 April 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the Gloucester Maths Academy website, tutoring administration portal, and related services. By using the service or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Gloucester Maths Academy provides private maths tutoring and a portal used to manage lesson scheduling and payment administration.

2. Who Can Use the Service

  • Parent/guardian and tutor accounts are used to manage tutoring records and portal workflows.
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration and account use.
  • If you submit student information, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

3. Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • We may require additional verification steps (including 2FA) to protect account security.

4. Tutoring Services

  • Lesson format, timetable, and level coverage are agreed between tutor and parent/guardian.
  • Portal session records are treated as the operational record for administration purposes.
  • Where reasonably required, lesson delivery format may be adjusted for safeguarding, operational, or educational reasons.

5. Fees, Payments, and Claims

  • Payment amounts and status shown in the portal form the service billing record.
  • Payment confirmations and references submitted through the portal must be accurate and truthful.
  • We may request clarification or reject inaccurate payment submissions.
  • Outstanding balances may affect access to certain account actions until resolved.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation, rescheduling, and any applicable charge/refund treatment are managed directly between tutor and parent/guardian based on the agreed tutoring arrangement.

7. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
  • Do not attempt unauthorised access, security probing, scraping, or disruption of the platform.
  • Do not submit malware, false payment evidence, or intentionally misleading information.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is breach of these Terms, safeguarding concern, material security risk, legal requirement, or unresolved payment/administrative issues.

9. Privacy and Cookies

Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

All website and platform content (excluding your own submitted content) is owned by or licensed to Gloucester Maths Academy. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute content except where permitted by law or written permission.

11. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages, and security actions may affect availability from time to time.

12. Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are responsible for foreseeable loss directly caused by our breach of these Terms. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable or arise from matters outside our reasonable control.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Contact and Complaints

For Terms or service complaints, email [email protected] or use the website contact form and include "Terms" or "Complaint" in your message so we can route it appropriately.
